Hi Kevin, thank you for being here with us. Could you please introduce yourself?

I’m the founder and president of 7s Art, which is located in New York City, focusing on the practice of refined Chinese life style.

What inspired you to start 7s Art, and how did you shape the vision behind it?

It started with a group of Guqin lovers. Most of us were students of the Chinese music Instrument Master Liu Li and Chen Tao. After many of our Guqin performances and Tea ceremonies in NYC, we noticed people enjoy beautiful things, and we thought we can re-create an aesthetic system by combining traditional Chinese arts with contemporary spirit, changing our commonplace and everyday life style.

What sets 7s Art apart from other creative platforms or galleries?

We never started 7sArt with the aim to differentiate us from other creative platforms. Instead, we just followed the calls of our hearts, and kept experimenting with traditional and modern aesthetics, trying to find a way to make our daily life more meaningful and satisfying.

What kind of experience do you aim to create for visitors at 7s Art?

Knowledge,  know-how, inspiration, and fun.

What does “community” mean to you, and how do you see yourself in a community?

A community is like a growing family, within which we all grow as the community matures. I’m the person who keeps order and arranges resources for our 7sArt community.

Do you have any advice that you would offer to others?

Choice is more important than Action. To follow your heart is always the primary choice.
